Pathivara Mata Temple (in Nallu, Lalitpur)

As a human being, we always try to help other as much as possible. This Pathivara Mata Mandir situated in Nallu, Lalitpur, is one of the example of human kind. Actually, original, great and famous Pathivara mata (Devi) is situated in Taplejung of Nepal, which have great importance and ties human beliefs.  It is also considered one of the holy places for Kirat Limbu. Worshippers from different parts of Nepal and India flock to the temple during special occasions, as it is believed that a pilgrimage to the temple ensures fulfilment of the pilgrims' desires.

Knowing the importance of Pathivara Mata also known as AdiKali, Maha Maya, Maha Rudri, most of the people go to visit it. Since, it is situated in eastern Nepal, many people find hard to visit even though they have strongest will. For this reason, one of the local people in Nallu, Lalitpur a short visit from Kathmandu Valley, thought of establishing the Pathivara temple in Nallu’s hill. He approached for this and finally built Pathivara Mata Mandir in Nallu in 2067 B.S. which facilitated many Hindu devotees. This temple can be reached with maximum of two hours’ drive and five minutes of walk to the entrance.


Since, this temple is situated in the hill of Nallu, it is fun to visit it with a short walk rather than driving to the gate. One can visit after planning a hike from Lele to the Temple as the way is across the hills with beautiful greenery views. One can walk through hill for 3 to 4 hours from Lele to Pathivara and refresh themselves. If you love hike, then hike from Lele to Pathivara can be your best hike and you can have fullest enjoyment in the lap of Pathivara Mata.
